Default The Heels are alive with the sound of... Heels

As a male working for the man I am required to wear nice shoes to work everyday, and also be eye candy for the predominantly female office I work in. My favorite pair of brown Bostonian's look awesome and are comfortable enough but there is one problem, everytime I walk on a hard surface such as tile, it sounds like i'm wearing high heels. If I were walking behind you it would sound like you were being pursued by a woman in stillettos. Not the most masculine situation. My question is: Are there other men facing this problem? Are there women that also dislike this sound when they wear heels? Is there a easy fix to this?

I completely understand where you are coming from. I work in a male dominated office, and I like to dress my best, but I feel like the sound of my heels draws unwanted attention. I don't like that the office notices every time I have to get up to use the bathroom! I wish there was something I could do that wouldn't affect the look of my shoes, but greatly decrease the sound.

The fix is easy - you can get the soles and heels covered with rubber at any high street cobbler or you can even purchase them as a stick-ons

Solves the problems of leather on wood noise and helps protect the shoes too - the rubber can be easily and cheaply replaced as it wears.
