So I was cruising along downtown, coming home from an appointment, and I walk by Head Start Shoes, one of my favorite stores in all of Philly--and that's because they have unusual European brands of high quality and elevated "cute" factor. I had promised myself not to go into their store today, but they had *just* changed the display (literally, that morning) with the latest batch of cute shoes for spring. And oh my god OHMYGOD were they cute. Cute, cute, cute!!! I was powerless and I had to go in. The latest Hego's collection was in and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. (As an aside, I already had a Hego's pair of flats from the same store--I blogged about them here). But these...I was drooling over them, and I wasn't the only one! Women stopped outside the window to admire them, and when I picked up this pair of flats, they gave me the thumbs up.

They had these as peep-toe flats, as high heels, and as mid-heel sandals, in blue (shown) or purple. They are cute beyond words. There was also a Hego's pair of gold flats with attached laser-cut flowers on the vamp, which were also edible, but in the end, these fit better (super-super-comfy!), and I just had to have them. Just had to. They were $150, and this is a rare occasion that I pay full price for my shoes, but the cuteness+comfort+originality=irresistible combo for yours truly.
After I bought these, a woman bought them, too, plus the gold ones, plus another pair. That made me feel a tad better for splurging, I guess. Oh, I can't wait for warm weather to come so I can wear them!
