Overdress to school?

Okay, my sister thinks I overdress to school, which I guess considering most of the people that go to my school... I overdress. I mean, wearing this Teen Skittles Tank Dress to school (of any kind) is a huge deal to most of the school, mostly because most of my school is full of ghetto people, haha. And NO ONE wears heels. I want to start wearing heels to school this year.. but literally no one except teachers do...

But what about in other places? Is it weird to wear dresses to school every day? Would it be weird to wear heels to school? Whats your opinion towards overdressing? Should I wear what I want to wear regardless?

Did you wear the tank dress on it's own without any bottoms? If so then maybe a little overdressed for school, but then again I wouldn't really know as we had a uniform!
