    Default Perfect Rain Flats

I think I found my perfect rain flats for a spring day--you know, when it sprinkles and you've got to avoid the occasional puddle but boots would be too much:

Tamara Henriques ballerinas for $79 at Barefoot Tess. (Tamara Henriques also makes those cute Pucci-esque rainboots, but, you know, much much cheaper than Pucci).

Shoesense, while we are off-topic, the Chooka boots are definitely cute but are also on the youthful side.

Sigh, it hardly ever rains in SoCal. I know I shouldn't be complaining, but a little extra rain would be nice so that I could actually justify purchasing rain shoes. Also, the rain clears out the smog, at least for a few days.

Ok, these have got to be the cutest rain shoes yet (from Jeffrey Campbell):

And only $35 at Plazatoo! What a deal!

Those are nice--for the rainy season, of course. For a light spring or summer rain, though, it's hard to pick the right footwear sometimes, and those shoes offer a nice alternative to avoid getting wet without having to get overdressed.

Here's another cute option for the rain... and more stylish than your average clunky rubber boots.

These Union Jack patterned Jeffrey Campbell "Chelsea" boots:

They also come in basic black and they're on sale now for only $40 at Nordstrom.

Here's another nice option that I found at Jildor Shoes. Hunter Boots exploded everywhere last season with there plain colorful rain boots. No inside lining but they do have a fleece stocking for purchase.

Women's Designer Shoes - Stuart Weitzman, Marc Jacobs & Michael Kors Shoes All at Jildor

They had a bunch of colors.

Yes--I saw Hunter's in green with a three-buckle details somewhere (forgot where though! bummer!) and I think they're very classy. Well, inasmuch as a rain boot can be classy!
