    Default Shoe Shopping Habits

I don't know about you, but I have terrible shoe shopping habits. And by terrible, I mean habits of the kind that are sure to part me with my money at a rapid speed.

Case in point? I scour the Internet sales and place something in my basket every single time. Then I let it gather Internet dust there, and eventually come back to it, and if the style is still available in my size at a good price, I examine my heart to see if I really, really, REALLY need that particular pair. I usually do.

At this point in time, for example, here's what's in my basket at Shoes.com:

(Hollywould 'Runner' shoe in chocolate and bronze, for $137--50% off)
    and:

Paul Green lime leather sandals, for $90 (also 50%), for the sole reason that my other pair of Paul Green slides are so outrageously comfortable I don't know how I lived without them before. The downside: I already have 2 (two) pairs of green flat sandals. Bummer!

And on Yoox I have three pairs waiting, but their server is giving me problems right now (boo!). However, here's one of them, these Blay cute mules for $90:

And at Beren Shoes.com, there's a sensible pair of Stuart Weitzman loafers in neutral, for only $70 (down from $230):

So you can see that sooner or later I am BOUND to get into trouble....
What about you? What are your shoe shopping habits, at least as far as the internets are concerned?

I actually do the same thing! I'm actually worse -- I'll put the shoes in my basket and leave the browser window open for a day or two. If I accidentally close my browser, it wasn't meant to be. If I'm still thinking about it a day later, it was meant to be. Zappos favorites list is wonderful for this -- it saves me money because I don't buy immediately.

I'm actually home all morning waiting for a shoe delivery. Thank you in advance, piperlime.

Btw, love the mules. So-so on Beren's Weitzmans. Practical? yes. Attractive? eh. They could feel like I was walking in clouds and I still wouldn't wear those very often at all. Too non-decorative!

Yes, I, too, shop like this online. I leave things in my cart and check back multiple times a day. My test is whether or not I keep thinking about them. If I keep thinking about them, I take it as a sign that I REALLY want them. Of course, this doesn't help matters. My Zappos cart currently contains the following (among other things):

Taryn Rose Ada pumps (now only $302... still hefty, but 40% their original price). Shoesense, I'm counting on your review of these to see whether I should try and snap them up.

    Morenatom casual d'orsay's

Yin Lima sandals. I have no idea how this company goes as far as comfort, but they look just right for that slightly formal slip on summer sandal.

Those Taryn Rose wedges are 50% off on Nordstrom ($247, here: Taryn Rose 'Ada' Pump - Pumps - Nordstrom.com. They're available in chocolate in a 39.5; I always have to size up a little bit in Taryn Rose, so that sounds about right to me for an 8.

Mine are scheduled to be delivered on the 28th...can't wait!

Actually, I'm the opposite. I go crazy. I get a bunch of shoes I might buy, put them in the basket then look at it. I'll then pick and choose which ones I want and order them. At least you all think about it.

Since I'm saddled with tiny feet, I'm always scouring sites like Nordstrom, Zappos, and PiperLime for the their size 5 or size 4.5 inventory.

I usually go nuts and by 5-6 pairs of shoes at a time (have to act fast when the right shoe is so rare). It's a literal binge, but inevitably only a few pairs fit and most go back to the store. Thank goodness for free shipping and flexible return policies, right?! I don't even bother looking at the inventory of stores that can't offer me that. Mistake?

Maybe there's a more efficient way to be searching for odd-size shoes?
