I hate waiting for shoes!

I ordered Tsubo's "pinger" shoe from Piperlime last week. I fell in love with this shoe as soon as I saw it in the J.Jill catalog over a month ago. First I ordered it from them, but they had an estimated ship date of late April. I then stalked it online until Piperlime started carrying it, when I immediately bought. I don't know if it's going to fit me -- I'm an 8.5, and although usually size 8 shoes fit me (9s are almost invariably too big), an 8 in Tsubo is sometimes a touch small. I want these shoes.

Now, I'm sitting at home waiting for my UPS driver. There are only a few units in my building (most of whose occupants work during the day) and no doorman, so I have to be here to receive the package. He delivers at random and completely unpredictable times during the day -- sometimes 8am, sometimes 7pm. And he doesn't always leave a door tag, either... but ranting about UPS is probably for another forum.

So I'm stuck at home, basically planning my day around waiting for these shoes. I haven't even showered yet -- that's how badly I don't want to miss him. I have to leave around 3pm (showered!), fingers crossed he'll get here any minute now.

Oh, the woes of waiting for the UPS man. I, too, live in a doorman-less building whose inhabitants (myself included) work during the day. Luckily, I now work in a place where I can easily have things delivered to me at my business address. It's solved many headaches. Good luck getting those cute shoes!

That's too funny! What is sad is that I can COMPLETELY relate. Fortunately, my UPS lady is more predictable (she's here usually between 11 and 1, 1:30, with very very rare exceptions), so yeah. The FedEx ground deliveries, otoh, are quite unpredictable. That's what Neiman Marcus uses--and that what I'm waiting for now (my Taryn Rose wedges! Please, come soon!).

I can completely understand how you feel. I order all of my shoes off of the internet and I hate waiting for them. The plus side of it is, if I'm having a bad day, at least I'll know i have some new shoes coming and that will cheer me up.
