The UGG Sundance (II)
The Sundance II is a tall boot available in Chestnut (a dark tan). It's made primarily with sheepskin -- sheepskin suede and sheepskin fur trim. The Sundance II has an inch of fur trim encircling the top of the boot as well as furry trim on the two side seams (stopping an inch or so from the bottom of the boot) and the back seam of the boot (stopping at about three inches above the heel). The side seams are connected by a furry trim on the seam that runs over and in front of the ankle.
UGG Sunburst
The Sunburst is similar to the Sundance but it does not have the fur trim around the top. However, the fur trim on the side seams go all the way down the Boxing Day UGG Sale to the sole. The trim on the back seam stops at roughly the same place from the sole as the Sundance II. Also, like the Sundance, the Sunburst has a fur trim that follows the seam that wraps around the front of the ankle back to the side seams
The Differences
The differences are slight. The fur trim on the side seams of the Sunburst go all the way to the sole, there is no fur trim at the top of the Sunburst like there is on the Sundance II. The Sundance II appears to have a chunkier shoe and look, while the Sunburst appears to be narrower in the foot through the toe. The Sunburst is available in two colors, Sand (a light tan, almost a beige) and Chestnut (a darker tan). The Sundance II is only available in the Chestnut color. The Sunburst is currently not available through UGG Australia and must be purchased through another source like Zappos or Amazon.com.
Which is the Better Choice?
UGG Australia guarantees all of Louis Vuitton Christmas sale for a year after purchase (except against discoloration issues, which are common and difficult to prevent). However, UGG Australia charges $250 for the Sundance II, while the Sunburst can be bought on Amazon.com for $157.50, nearly $100 less. It does not come with the guarantee but it is a little easier on the budget.
