The nice UPS man just arrived with my latest purchase from Zappos. I bought a pair of Nanette Lepore Keds (see below).
This sort of compensates for having to return the Terra Plana flats I bought last week (also below). One was a touch too big, but the shoe was too shallow to easily accommodate any sort of insole. I bought them for an interview, but ended up wearing an (also new) pair of Steve Madden ballet flats that I got for cheap -- it was going to rain that day. I was pretty sad about it, since the shoe is much, much cuter in person than in the photo. Finally on the new shoe front, my Bernardo flip flops (third photo, below!) arrived from Nordstrom yesterday, and they weren't kidding when they suggested you size up. The 8s were quite small. I'm exchanging them, but my bf took one look at the shoes on and said, "Those look like they'd hurt!" The jury's still out on whether I'll keep them in the 9s. They're not quite as cute as I hoped they would be. I have a birthday this week, and I've been offered a job, thus the spending spree. |

Yeah, I too am thinking about getting a pair of the new Keds. I'd love to get your thoughts on how they feel and whether they'll take an insole.

How they feel: perfectly comfortable. Tiniest bit of pinching in the back the first time I wore them, nothing since. I'm usually an 8/8.5 and I'm an 8 in these (I'm an 8 in other Keds, too). Typical Keds in that there's little to no arch support, but halfway decent cushioning.
Taking an insole? I think so? They're pretty deep and not at all shallow. That said, I guess it might depend on the insole. They might not be deep enough for all orthotics, but they're certainly deep enough for standard insoles. |

Gemma, I kind of get the impression that a) you don't really care about my new shoe purchases, and b) you weren't actually googling at all when you came across Tagbo but instead are a paid employee of said company.
