Correcting a golf slice is possible by examining your swing and solving any deficiencies you may have. Lord knows I had plenty of problems with my swing. I can not tell you how many times I would slice the ball and loose it in the rough or water. Of course I would then line up left to compensate for my slice and actually hit the ball straight for once and loose another ball left. Talk about making me insane.
1. Analyze your grip at setup. You want to make sure you can see at least two or three knuckles on your left hand. Furthermore, relax that grip. Gripping the callaway razr x hl irons too tightly will cause you to slice or at least that was one of my problems.
2. Pull the imaginary rope when at the range. Picture a rope attached to a tree above you. Now, imagine yourself pulling that rope straight down. Try to pull your club straight down when starting the downswing with razr x hl irons. This also forces the right elbow to stay close to your side.
3. On the back swing focus on taking the club back straight until your lead arm is at 8 o' clock and then begin to coil your upper body from that point. At 8 o' clock the the club blade should be pointing straight up.
4. Keep the shoulders pointed to the right when starting the swing with razr x black driver. Another reason why people slice is opening their shoulders at the point of impact thus opening the club face. Point the shoulders right to hit it left.
5. Sweep the ball off the tee instead of hitting down or pinching the ball. Try to picture your spine staying in a near-perpendicular angle to the ground at all times during the swing with razr x black. Now, just swing around the center of it. Make sure that you have a sweeping motion and do not have too steep an incline on your back swing.
