I'm partial to these Nana flat d'Orsays, but I'm afraid they won't stay on:
![]() These are $68 on Yoox, and are also available in an all-brown version, but I'm still wary of their flatness and ability to stay put on my feet. My fears are at least partially justified by a pair of flat d'Orsays I own, and which I got more for collecting purposes--their are Roger Vivier, and I struck a FANTASTIC deal on them on eBay--just $32, obviously the people selling them were completely unaware of the importance of the designer. At any rate, those d'Orsays are very pointy and the back is elastic (they're suede), and they DO tend to slip down when I walk, which is why I rarely wear them. I told you, they're a collector's item! These Nana sandals, however, would not be, so hence, my question: do you own anything in a similar style, and how is it working for you?

I have one pair from Max Studio (see below, and sorry for the quality of the picture -- I was too lazy to find my camera so I took it with my cell phone).
I've not had any issues with them staying on. They seem to be about as low cut in the front as yours are, and my only issue (went away after one wearing) was a small blister on the outside of my foot where the front of the shoe hit. No issues with staying on my feet, though, and I wore them for full days of teaching (and walking to and from the train station). |
