Default Iconic shoes

I really liked Jitterbugbaby's post about iconic shoes, and I decided to open a thread about it--a thread to serve as a repository for, you know, the world's iconic shoes. She mentioned Dorothy's ruby slippers and Cinderella's glass shoe. Let's see, what other famous shoes in history have become iconic?

In fairy tales, I think it would be unfair not to mention Puss-in-Boots:

Ok, so not exactly as crucial to the story as Cinderella's shoes, but still, a defining trait for our hero. Without them he would be what, just...Puss? Nah.

And I can also think of the famous Naomi-Campbell-tripping Vivienne Westwood platforms:

(boy, I get vertigo just looking at these!)

What else?

Default Pilgrim shoes

Catherine Deneuve wore these in Belle du Jour--the famous Roger Vivier pilgrim shoes. I contend these, too, are iconic.

Default Nancy Sinatra's shoes

Amy makes an excellent suggestion in the comments to this entry, so I'm going to post it here. Here they are, Nancy Sinatra's famous, made-for-walking boots:

I had to add these famous Ferragamo heels made for Marilyn Monroe in the 50s:

How about the infamous Sedarby by Manolo Blahnik? Carrie's such a lucky girl!

I do agree that Carrie's Blahniks are iconic, but I personally don't like them. I'm not a peeptoe girl, nor am I a shoe-jewelry girl, but I don't care for those shoes.

I may be the only one here who actively dislikes SatC, but I'd definitely agree that Manolo Blahnik as an entire brand became pretty iconic because of that show.
