Hi there. I'm a reporter with The Washington Times in Washington D.C. I'm working on an article about how buying shoes online has become standard practice and that shoppers no longer seem concerned that they can't hold the shoes in their hand before purchasing them.
I'm looking to speak to some people who often buy shoes online and hear your thoughts. If you'd care to be interviewed, please give me a call, send me an e-mail or reply here. Thanks, Jen Haberkorn Reporter, The Washington Times jhaberkorn@washingtontimes.com 202-636-4836 |

What's totally ironic is that I work at a high-end shoe retailer in suburban PA. I buy shoes at my workplace, but I also by a lot online. I mean ALOT. I like Zappos, they make things easy, but their "free overnight shipping" is not free. All the shoes they sell are over MSRP. I also do the website for my workplace (it's a bit of a mess right now, but I'm within days of putting a flash site up). I think your take on the article is interesting, but you should note that, as I've intimated above, online shoppers HAVE held the shoe in their hand by and large. They just use the web to comparison shop for price.
shoesonashoestring is great! Good luck with your article. ![]() |
