    Default help with boots please!

I'm looking for fall boots however its hard for me to find some that fit because my calves are sorta small. Can you get away with a lil excess on the calves? I'll most likely be wearing skinny jeans with them..

Can anyone suggest some cute ones? Or have pics?

Unfortunately, I have the opposite problem (calves too thick). I've actually recently blogged about it here:http://www.shoeblog.com/blog/duo-boots/; I recommended in that post Duo Boots, an English manufacturer which actually custom-makes boots according to your shoe AND calf size. The models are cute, and because when shipping to the US they don't charge you VAT, the shipping is practically free. They also give you some helpful hints on measuring your calves, which I strongly recommend. Once you have that done, you can browse Zappos for boots, because they always, helpfully, include the circumference of the calf for their boots, so that you can choose something appropriate for you.

As about recommendations, you have to be much more specific: color, price range, with or without heel, a particular style (western, equestrian, funky), etc. Then we may be able to help!

I have the same problem often. Here are a couple thoughts.

    1. Check Zappos boots, because they list the calf circumference, and you can check it against your own calves.

    2. If you're planning to wear them with skinny jeans tucked into the boots, then yes, I think you'll be ok with a bit of extra space. You'll need a bit of space to tuck the jeans in, and then if they're a little slouchy, I think that looks cool.

    Hope this helps a bit.

Olive Shoes has some great new boots for this fall. I would recommend that you look at the Zom by Chie Mihara, the Stella by Twenty Two shoes, Note Tall Boot by CYDWOQ and the Jane Riding Boot by Eileen Shields. I would make sure that you get boots that are made of superior leather on the outter and inside of the boot. Leather has great elasticity and will mold to your leg shape better than any other material. You can call (503.224.9337) or email (oliveshoes@gmail.com) and they will be happy to measure any part of the boot for you.

    Thanks.

If you're wearing skinny jeans, why not tuck them in? Or if you plan on wearing the jeans on the outside, why do you need a knee-high boot?

I'm not sure which size you wear, but you might be interested in meeting my friend TARA.
