I am more disturbed at how his face looks more like KD Lang than Tarantino. I am hoping it is photoshopping and not plastic surgery. These shoes came from a New York underground shop called Trash and Vaudeville.

It is common knowlege that QT has a real foot thing. It is his "signature" to make things a bit disturbing. If that was his goal then, from everyone's reaction, he achieved his goal. (It is still odd.)

As I see, we should put the foot health in the first place

women shouldn't need to wear high-heeled shoes, let alone men. it's just too harmful to the legs and feet.

*** cultural perceptions are tough to break through***

What struck me most...it may have been earlier in this thread - was that one of the men who likes a heeled shoe said he 'feels more masculine' in heels. I found that so interesting, since heels can make me feel more powerful & feminine at the same time, the effect is obviously the similar for men. This is such an interesting topic (if we can keep it polite). I am still amazed that so many of us feel so strongly about such a relatively harmless social mores.

Sometimes, but not necessarily. Fashion does not define sexuality. But, this is the manner of stereotyping and social mores that men encounter on this issue.
