These are the Maryjanes I recently swooned over. I love plaid, I love lace & I ADORE a triple-strap.

Shoes - Macy's

Sigh.

I have my eyes on a pair of red CL slingback maryjanes for $400 Neiman Marcus clearance. While they are 40% off. $400 is nearly all my grocery money for a month, and a farmer's wife really needs red CL's doesn't she. Heavy sigh.

Remember - some things are more than their form. For you, it also sounds like the CL's are a bit of art. For that reason, you will probably find the right time & budget. Art & beauty aren't always easy to justify in a budget - but they are a large part of what make life richer.

PS - we are hoping to be ready to start some hobby farming next year. A large garden & goats. Probably no chickens since our neighbor really like his chickens & we already get free eggs in exchange for pasturing his horse.

Several people in my area have set up hobby/organic farming and selling to the local farmers markets. They seem to be using it as a way to let the wife stay home and the husband works in town to make the house payment. I think most only have 10 acres or so. With vegetables you can pack a lot into a small area. I keep telling Mr. R5 we need a minature pony. He says I need a psychiatrist.

Here is Galligator, the only thing missing is a pair of 6 inch hidden platform maryjanes.

I love how maryjanes can be either conservative or sexy depending on the cut.

I know it took me awhile to get back to this thread & all.

But R5..OMG.

Too funny - but that'll be next year when we can actually afford a small tractor....

Can you imagine heels & tractors....wait, there's probably a calendar or website out there already.

Good heavens!
