You will be readng this again in a post, but not for a while. An Australian friend and I were discussing a book about discount stores. She said when a non American sees a pair of shoes, they ask, "Who made it?" then they ask the price. When an American sees it, they ask "What does it cost?" then they ask "Do you take Credit Cards?"
The older and more affluent I get, the less I ask about price and more about who made it. I have learned by experience that some shoes, no matter how inexpensive, are NOT worth the money paid. Jessica Simpson is one. They never fit well, they never seem to last very long. I have learned that Cole Haan fit me like a glove (Others may not have the same experience) , and seem to be well made. So I buy them on sale as often as I can. I don't have 875 pair shoes. I don't need them. I might have 20 pair, but wear about 10 pair all the time.
