    Default Patent leather sneaker

My sister and I were in a tux rental store working on her wedding plans when we saw the worst shoe ever. It's a patent leather "dress" sneaker. Made by Ecko. View it now:

Haaa haaa, thanks for sharing, love the thumbs down.

I can only assume those "dress" sneakers are for the sports fanatic groom.

I must say, though, I'm more interested the shoes your sister plans to wear to her wedding.

Hah! I can imagine hundreds of slightly awkward high school senior boys wearing these to prom and thinking (mistakenly) that they're cool.

Are they ugly? Hells yes! The grossly large rubber heel, the pseudo-racing stripe, the general style... That said, if I were 17 and had prom to go to again, I would be totally psyched if my date wore those. Much more individuality than standard and ugly tux shoes.

Shomore: She is looking for something red at the moment. We saw a pair similar to these at DSW:
Steve Madden Suzzy (Red Leather) - Opentoe/Peeptoe Dress Shoes
They were satin, not leather, but the shape and heel height are pretty much spot on.

Madaloon, I *love* that your sister wants to wear red shoes to her wedding! Is she going the white dress route or is her dress also on the more unconventional side?

Her dress is traditional. Here's a picture:

Her colors are the colors from the new Harry Potter book (it just worked out that way). The mustardy yellow, olive green, and tomato red.

Love it all. Love the dress, love the red shoe idea, love the colors, and love that you used Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as a comparison.

That dress is fab - very unique, feminine, and classy! The red shoes idea is also so fresh.
