My kids love them. I can't bring myself to wear them. I have tennis shoes that are comfy & look better. But, weren't they originally designed for diabetics to have a protective antiseptic shoe?
But, they seem to have noticed the anti-crocs crowd & have expanded into wearable cute styles more recently.
Personally, I'm not a fan of crocs, but I'm fine with kids wearing them -- kids make anything look cute. But whoever wears them, I find crocks with socks to be a complete no-no!
See, the thing is... Crocs are comfortable, yes (I'm sure a lot of you would agree on that point). Yes, they are ugly, but they also fit those of us who can't squeeze our feet into the tiny "standard" width shoes. My foot actually takes up the entire width of my Crocs. If I had my baby toe removed, my feet would still probably be too wide to fit into most standard width shoes... and extra wide shoes are not easily come by. What do you do when you actually can't get your foot into shoes any smaller than what ends up being 2+ sizes too long?
On a positive note, over the last 18 months or so, Crocs have really expanded their line to include many 'fashion' styles that are in-line with brands like Clarks or Born. So, there is a response to those of us who want shoe companies to use comfort technology with aesthetic value. No, you won't be wearing runway looks - but you can get attractive, conservative styles with the basic crocs architecture. That is not a bad thing.

i've read news of children getting stuck on escalators coz they were wearing Crocs. so those shoes are absolute no-no's for me. they're not only ugly, but dangerous as well.
crocs only belong on the feet of children. they are only fit as training shoes, for those too young to wear real shoes yet. they belong half buried in a sandbox, their color fading in the sun.
