Is it a coincidence that when searching for "ugly shoes" in Google's image search box, most of the images are crocs? I don't think so...
I'm sure plenty of people will disagree, but I believe comfort and style need to go hand in hand.

Even as a child I was never interested in owning what everyone else owned. It could be me, but just because a million people wear them doesn't make them right.

What do you think?

Here at Shoeblog we wholly agree with you! I mean, personally, I'm a fan of ihatecrocs.com. I am of the opinion that there is something suitable to wear for any occasion. To this end, Crocs worn while sloshing around gardening are fine for that purpose. Crocs worn on a daily basis to work or social functions are reprehensible!

I was running errands today and thought I would scream. Crocs as far as the eye could see.

*shudders*

On the other hand, I saw a woman in her 60s at the market today. She had on this black and white horizontal fitting sweater, a knee-length black flowy skirt, and the cutest pair of black kitten heels. Her hair was the whitest white I've ever seen. She looked so amazing, and I told her as much. We had a long conversation. It was so funny. Definitely the coolest person I met today.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. As far as I'm concerned, Crocs are fine either in the garden or on little kids.

Apart from that, I don't see any excuse for them.


However, I will say that some of the shoes they have coming out (the You by Crocs line) are far from hideous. Not that they're super stylish either, but they're a far cry from the ubiquitous clogs.

My boyfriend loves his black Crocs. He pretty much lives in them. No pair of Crocs will ever find its way onto my feet, but I think they're kind of cute on him. Plus I like to think he wears them ironically 'n' stuff.

Velcro shoes need to be banned!! and Crocs too! I hate it when a pair of shoes dont fit!

I wouldn't be caught dead in crocs but I will admit (Here in the secret sanctuary of shoeblog) that I have tried them on and **** they are comfortable..but they are hideous in my opinion. I believe if I were dead in my casket I'd come back to life to kick these atrocious eyesores off my feet.

I think these shoes should be called "The ugly one" as they are real ugly - if i wanted to be super ocmfy i would have to wear socks with them and that is not a a desirable look at all!

I agree crocs are just ugly. The other day I was getting a mani and pedi at my fav salon and the girls had on the croc heels. Nicki said the were great to wear all day. Sorry, There are really great shoes out there that you can wear all day. AUGH
