Louis Vuitton Robusto 2 Compartment M54542
Does it seem odd that the great Joan Rivers, impresario of the E! network and one of the greatest comics of all time, would make an appearance on a syndicated entertainment news show? We know Joan isn’t averse to any type of publicity, but would you all just buy a copy of Joan’s DVD so she can retire already? Not that I don’t love me some Fashion Police, but Ms. Rivers will turn 80 this year! (Which reminds me, I need to add that documentary, Joan Rivers: Louis Vuitton Wallets A Piece of Work, to my Netflix queue.) What do you do during the winter months if you are luxury house Chanel? You set up your winter headquarters in a picturesque Alpine ski village, of course. For the third consecutive year, Chanel set up its winter headquarters in Courchevel, nestled in the French Alps. The boutique is stunning (more on that to come next week), but what caught my attention first is the absolutely extraordinary limited edition Boy Chanel Bag, exclusive to the winter shop. Why have a leather bag when you can go out-of-this-world with white alligator and grey orylag (super soft French rabbit fur)? Of course this bag is over-the-top, but I find it perfectly fitting for ladies who love winter whites and luxury goods. The white alligator body of the bag is topped with a light grey fur, and amidst that are gold chains that dangle to give extra bling. The price is available upon request and while this bag is not the bag for me (for many reasons), I still cannot get enough of the Boy Chanel bags. The Courchevel boutique will be open through April 2013.
Courtney Cox is a pro at keeping it cool and casual while paparazzi are doing Louis Vuitton Sunglasses their thing a mere three feet away (see the photo after the jump. No zoom lenses in use here.) Here she is exiting Maxfield’s boutique in LA with her black Chanel Classic Flap Bag. This Chanel bag is a tried and true celeb fave – so much so that it makes an appearance in the majority of editions of our ever-popular series “The Many Bags of…” (See: Alexa Chung, Jessica Biel, and Anne Hathaway, for starters.) It’s easy to see what makes this particular bag such a popular choice – it’s a timeless, versatile bag that goes with everything from sweaters and jeans to red carpet apparel. It has a classic shape, and the metal chain hardware has miraculously avoided being too trendy (or untrendy) for decades. A little backhistory for you PB newbies: the Chanel Classic Flap Bag was designed by Coco herself, and reissued by Karl Lagerfeld in 2005. Obviously, like all Chanel bags, it’s far too iconic to ever be made available to the sprawling internet masses online.
First and foremost, we like to show you new handbag collections Louis Vuitton Purses as soon as they see the light of day (so that you can budget accordingly, of course), but it’s also important to have a little reminder when coveted pieces actually, you know…become available. And not just for pre-order, but for actual, real-life, I’d-like-the-receipt-in-the-bag-please purchasing. Today, it’s our great pleasure to tell you that Chanel Cruise 2013 is now at your fingertips (and remind you of all the beautiful goodies that are out there).Chanel Cruise 2013, originally presented in the garden at Versailles, is as ladylike as the location would suggest. The bags are done in soft golds and blues, and as has been the norm for the past few seasons, the Boy Chanel bags are the real gems. My favorite, though, is the delicate blue-grey and gold python Chanel Wallet on Chain above. Check out all the loveliness in the slideshow below, and for more information on the bags.
