Default Greetings from an old newbie

I'm graymnnce from New Mexico, a major fan of high-heeled clogs. Still not sure just how that got started, but when I found that a lot of brands famous for narrow shoes, like YSL, make clogs wide enough for my feet, the rest was history.

Welcome, welcome, graymnnce! I'd love to see pics of your shoes if you've got them. And of course, please join in on the posting fun.

I'd love to show some of them off! For the moment, all I have is a couple of shots from last year of the collection, which (like any true collector!) I am always culling and adding to. Oh, and one commercial shot of some MiuMiu clogs I scored on sale. Here goes, collection first:

Then some nice Coach:

and even nicer YSLs:

Finally, the MiuMius:

Wow! I've never seen so many varieties of high-heeled clogs. Nice collection!

Well, here's another male fan of high heeled clogs checking in. Can't remember now how I stumbled across the posts here. I think I saw the comments that accompanied the article about The Libertine and men in high heels.

Anyway, I agree fully with graymnnce's observations...and experiences. I converted my own wardrobe to almost exclusively women's shoes years ago, though in the past couple years (thanks to their finally being available again), I've invested rather extensively in high heeled, wood soled clogs from the likes of Miu Miu and Colin Stuart (Victoria's Secret). And I, too, have evolved very similar parameters about what sort of women's styles are acceptible for a man to wear (no pointed toes, no stilettos). I can't recall exactly how you put it, but I framed the issue pretty much the same way in my own mind: I prefer women's styles that are strongly masculine.

Just wanted to drop a line to say "hi" and to make contact with a kindred spirit...and perhaps to make sure we're not bidding each other up on eBay! : )

Wearing the shoes I want has been the most liberating and empowering experience, as I'm sure you know. So glad I "followed my bliss" so many years ago.

By the way, graymnnce, I was just wearing the shoes in your avatar yesterday. I found a pair in black at my local Nordstrom Rack not that long ago.
