Hi guys,
some of my questions are: how did you become interested in shoes? What inspired you to be so interested? Has your interest lead you to other things (ex: job at a shoe store, more involved with fashion, etc)? Has your interest lead you to let go of other hobbies? How long have you been interested in shoes? And any other additional comments you would like to add. Thanks everyone! |

Like many women, I've always liked shoes, but after my feet grew during my 1st pregnancy, I had to replace all of my too-small shoes. Online shoe retailers had really started to establish a presence by that time, & I was able to see so many unique & gorgeous styles, I was hooked in a whole new obsessive way.
And, in my case, my personal 'obsession' led me to be one of the bloggers on the main shoeblog site as well as to merge my shoe interest with my sewing/fashion interest. Of course, the online accessiblity of fashion shows on sites like elle , style & vogue certainly doesn't hurt, either. |

This following story will illustrate how I developed my shoe-sense. My 23 year old daughter came in with a really cute pair of platform wedges, about 4 inches high. My first reaction was "Oh my gosh those shoes are cute, let me try them on."
I later went to visit my 80 year old mother. I had on a pair of platform peeptoes about 3 1/2 inches high. Her reaction was, "Oh my gosh those shoes are cute, let me try them on." There is a story that has to do with my mother wanting a pair of really expensive shoes, and not being able to afford them. She made a deal with my dad. If she got the shoes, he got whoopie every night for 2 months. They were both happy with the deal. I inherited it. |
