I've been meaning to post this for a while, but I figured it fits in perfectly with our current sharing of our shoe collections. This man's shoe collection was featured in the shoe-focused issue of New York magazine a few weeks back.
And I thought I had a lot of shoes. I seriously doubt I'll ever have this kind of stash. Nor, to be honest, would I want to. I mean, much as I love shoes and would love to have an extensive collection of really high quality ones, $8,500 for one pair (how much Mr. Millon paid for a recent pair) makes me a little ill. My conscience kicks in and I start to think things like how many hungry people could have been fed for a week with that money?

I didn't know there was enough variety in men's shoes for a man to own that many! Good heavens.

My boyfriend has two pairs of dress shoes and one pair of sneakers that go from the gym to casual wear. The dress shoes (which, bless his heart, are at least good shoes -- I picked them out), recently WORE THROUGH THE SOLE. His response? He took them to the shoemaker -- wouldn't even consider new shoes. This kills me. Totally kills me. Opposites attract, I guess.
