Default My Shoe Closet

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for! It took the better part of today, but it's done. Please see attachments organized by boots, sandals, flats, pumps and "high-end" shoes, and sport/go-to shoes, including a few bonus pics of my shoe closet. I labeled each picture, for your convenience!

Here's the horrifying inventory, in alphabetical order (it excludes my Cole Haan indoor shoes--a forest-green driving moc in suede--, my running and gym shoes--3 pairs, my Timberlands, my dog-park shoes--Merell brown suede loafers--and some slippers):

- Coach black patent loafers, round-toe

- Kenneth Cole printed orange leather skimmers
- Kowalski newspaper print distressed leather sneakers with charms
- La Canadienne black tall boots
- Christian Louboutin purple suede skimmers
- Marc Jacobs orange quilted velvet with patent cap skimmers
- Marc Jacobs blue velvet 'Mouse' flats
- Marc Jacobs purple suede wedge boots
- Materia Prima by Goffredo Fantini bandana demi-wedge slides
- Mephiso red Mary Janes
- Miu Miu tobacco suede skimmers
- Paul Green neutral slides (2 inch heel)
- Roger Vivier mauve suede d'Orsay flats

- Taryn Rose black T-strap pumps with blue detail in suede and leather (3 inch heel)

- Taryn Rose brown croc-embossed leather sandals
- Taryn Rose burgundy patent mules (2 inch heel)
- Taryn Rose pink leather and suede wedges
- Thierry Rabotin black leather and canvas peep-toes
- Tsonga red leather boots

Phew!!! That was quite the task.

Mine is a shoe closet with a theme, which is, you can be comfortable and stylish, and there are plenty of low-heel, comfy options for women who can't or won't wear high heels.

Of course, I've made mistakes--not all these shoes are comfortable to wear (flatness does not equal comfort--I learned this the hard way!), but I've learned some valuable lessons while building this shoe collection.

You already know that I love your shoe collection. And now I can safely say I also love your meticulous organization and documentation of that shoe collection.

Nicely done!

Awwww, thanks a bunch! I wish I could have written more about each shoe--you know, fit and all. Ironically--or to be expected, perhaps?--my most 'high-end' shoes are the worst-fitting, of course, and I don't wear them too often because of that. But some are really, really, comfy, and I'm glad I took a chance on them (the Paul Green slides, the Aquatalia loafers, and of course, my Taryn Rose collection).

Beautiful. It's fun to see people's shoe collections and to realize the nuances of differences in taste, when we all appreciate beautiful shoes. Your collection is much classier/nicer than mine -- I've grown to realize that I prefer funky and casual over dressy. (Of course, my mom probably could have told you that when I died my hair pink in high school.)
