Default My shoe collection

A couple of weeks ago, just after joining this site, I decided to do the unthinkable and actually photograph every single pair of shoes I own AND write them down on a list. I wasn’t sure I really wanted to know how many shoes I had but I was curious anyway. My original guess was 50 something but I went well beyond that. I did dispose of some shoes in the process, mainly because they had seen much better days and they now belonged in the trash. So, in the end, the count came up to 74 pairs of shoes. That includes every single pair I own, including flip flops, sneakers and even the Crocs that arrived this morning. I only left out a pair of white “Just Married” sandals because they are very dirty and I did not want to photograph them like that, however, I can’t bring myself to get rid of them! As you’ll be able to see, I don’t discriminate based on price! If I like them, I get them! Here are the pictures: - Shoe Inventory

You have a great collection of high end and normal-priced shoes, and I'm loving looking through the photos!

Okay, as I'm nearly halfway through the photos, I'm struck by two things:
1. your photos are beautiful. seriously. are you a professional?
2. your shoes look nearly unworn! I'm so envious of your pristine collection.

Wow. Same as Nemtynakht: your shoes look hardly worn (seriously), and the photos are beautifully taken. The collection is balanced with shoes for every occasion and outfit color, it seems. And if you don't like some of them (like the Merona loafers)--dump them at a thrift store and go get new ones. You'll be so much happier about the shoes that are left! At any rate--brilliant!

Oh, and one more thing: it's the first time I saw an Irregular Choice shoe that didn't make me shudder. Instead, I thought those electric blue croc-print pumps were pretty awesome!

Thanks for the compliments! I am indeed, a wedding photographer. Although I no longer wish to do it for a living. I have been doing photography in one form or another for about 6 years.

As for the shoes, many of them I have never worn, mainly because "the" opportunity has never presented itself. However, I always buy shoes with the intention of wearing them....and I will actually wear them some day.

I have been lugging those Merona loafers around for about 5 years now. I have never worn them but for some reason I can't give them up. However, I think I've had enough now andn I'm actually going to drop them off at a charity shop at some point.

Cheers!

June

Very nice! What a well rounded collection. Stylish and classy, but far from boring! And great photos!

Wow, thanks for sharing. I felt like I was browsing a museum or shopping online at Zappos or Neiman Marcus - you are truly a gifted photographer and have a great shoe collection.

Do you intend on wearing the autographed Manolo's? I think I would find myself hard pressed to.

Oooooh! I just saw the new additions and...LOVE!!!! I am particularly enamored with the red and gold Irregular Choice ones. Mmmmm....
I've also had a few additions lately--I'm in fact expecting some deliveries tomorrow and will post all about them. I had to get rid of a few pairs first--mostly because they didn't fit right and I wasn't really wearing them, so there was no point hanging on to them.
At any rate, nice job! Are these new additions comfortable? Your shoes look hardly worn any way, so I wonder where/how/when you wear them!
