R5 - I've seen a lot of gorgeous Zanotti. BUt, like CL, haven't actually had a chance to try on a pair. But, I am a 7.5 (not narrow) but mediums are usually fine. Actually, if 7W were more common, that would probably be ideal since I fall out of flats that are 7.5's, but 7.5's are usually fine on anything with height since they tend to have smaller toeboxes that move my foot back. I also love a lot of the Valentino, but have heard that some women find them terribly uncomfortable. I have a high enough arch, that if I ever run into a high-end designer who's shoe last fits my foot, I will probably become converted to whoever that is. So far, Seychelles, Madden Girl, Vince Camuto & Betsey Johnson fit my overall foot shape the most consistently. Prada is just okay as is MBMJ. 90% of my shoes need some sort of extreme arch added & I generally just accept that as the way it is. But, what if CL's, Dior, or Cavalli were sweet to my feet..I'd definitely be more willing to save my pennies then.

LoriM - I've been avoiding TPF, Bluefly, Saks & NM as much as possible lately. I don't need to be tempted while I am paying off some things. But those Gucci's were one of my favorite shoes to come out last year. I am drooling, a little bit.

gal... I tried to wear a pair of Zanottie (from Endless) after less that 10 minutes I was crippled. I needed a whole size larger - I sent them back. I tried a pair of CL on at Saks, they COULD have worked with an extensive break-in period, but to be able to wear out the store, I would have needed a .5 size larger. Never tried on a Valentino and so far they have two of my favorite pair (the black and grey rose shoes and a metalic bow pump-see the wedding shoe tread).

Well, I will be in Vegas at the end of this month for 2-3 days. My goal is to get at least one of my sisters to go shoe shopping with me. None of us have a buyers budget this year, but how often will we get the chance to try them on, find out which high-end brands are beautiful but hopeless & which ones are perfect for each of our feet? I'm not sure which shops we will hit yet, but I know there are some great boutiques in a few of the casino shopping complexes, so we will probably start there.

Don't bother with the outlet mall. That book Cheap tells how the goods made for outlets are lower quality than the real deal. You will rarely find the same styles in a dept. store. If you do, the price is the same. It has been years since i have been to Vegas so I can't really help you out there.
BTW My brother lives in LV and takes his visitors to the Cirque show. See if you can go.

You are too kind.

These days, shoes are cheaper than bags ... although I do have my eye on a matching tote for those brown Gucci tattoo flats from the outlet.

Lucky for me, I'm not much of a Bag person. I rarely fall in love with a bag & won't spend $$$ for a canvas bag. But, if I were, that Guggi bag & the Prada fairy would be in the running.

Enjoy your new toys!
