Latest purchase is J.Crew's burnished-rubber riding boots that are amazing and comfy. They're a deep indigo color with black trim alternative to a wellie. I found them online at iStorez winter boots display at 30% off.

Got these at Target, of all places - only $29.99! They have that Marni sort of look (sleek, ultra-modern), and unlike so many low-end shoes, they are both comfortable and very stable to walk in (no heel wobble).

i saw those shoes at target online and they are currently on my wish list. i was a bit unsure of them after reading the mixed reviews target guests have left, but you certainly have sold me on them. but, i plan to wait til they are reduced in price.

Neiman's is really clearing things out, I've lucked-out on line and scored the Prada flat black patent knee boot w/silver buckle on the side. Smashing (esp. with an extra 40% off) I think someone returned them-it was the only pair. I bought them a 1/2 size bigger and have them on with a thicker than usual sock. I am excited beyond belief!

But, one day I will do another high-end splurge. ... But I'm gonna have to prioritize against some plumbing & exterior upgrades on our house, so it's at least 18 months before I can even look at somegthing like those lovelies. Enjoy them for those of us who just look & drool!
