Adorable! So classy, but with fun and style.
My wardrobe lacked two essential winter shoes (ahem): a tall brown boot and a red boot. Unfortunately, everything I liked came either in heels or with price tags I couldn't afford. However, enter Endless, my post-Zappos crush, with huge prices, free overnight shipping (yep, free), and a $5 discount on my order, plus the usual free returns, etc. I've been lurking on that site for ages, but I finally couldn't resist and I bought these two items:
- Tsonga 'Sebenza' floral boot. A basic, cute, casual, and warm style (enabling me to further avoid Uggs!), very comfortable, and very accommodating (you can easily tuck your jeans in--or not). Remains to be determined how they'll behave outside (they're not waterproof).
- Sudini 'Ignite' Riding boot in chocolate. Now, I have a documented weakness for riding boots, so I just couldn't resist this, and I'm glad I didn't. It's very classy styling, with a modest buckle, and gore at the top, which is what I need for my super-hefty, ubermuscular calves. They look a little better in person than in the picture, and although it's made in China (and c'mon, what isn't nowadays), the boot seems very well constructed, the leather is supple and shiny, and the lines very flattering to my legs. The slogan of the company is both funny and odd: 'Our shoes make love to your feet', or something like that.
The best part of the deal? I got these babies 70% off: both cost a grand total of $105 (shipping included, remember?). I'm quite satisfied with the purchase, and can't wait to wear them both out!
shoesense - those mouse shoes are gorgeous! i love them in navy blue....i'm thinking of getting a pair in black....or if they come in red, that would be fantastic!
ooo! Those shoes look HOT!! I'm not very familiar with MJ (simply because we don't get very much in Australia :( ) But, do MJ's run true to size? I'm usually a 37.5, would I need 37.5 in MJs too? Or would I need maybe half a size or a size bigger? Thanks for your help! :)
Marc Jacobs designs SCRUMPTIOUS shoes. I would order 1/2 size up, depending on the style, but, ideally you should try them on, of course. I have 3 pairs in a size 41: the boots are just slightly larger than I expected, but it's ok because they're boots; the orange velvet+patent flats are just right, and these navy blue 'mouse' shoes are too narrow and a bit tight (unfortunately), so I keep trying to wear them and stretch them a bit. Um... not sure this is helpful, but if you order them without trying them on, make sure you can return or exchange them.
shoesense those are adorable!!
Here is my latest purchase. They are very spring like so that's why I chose them. I also bought a pair of jellies.

Very cute and stylish. Great to wear in summertime!
What adorable summertime shoes! Good pick.
These are my Sonia Rykiel flats:

Notice the brogue detailing and the zipper! The leather is soft and they're super-comfortable--only a 1/2 inch heel. Best of all, they were $38 on Yoox, during their fantastic super-sale.
I also scored these Jil Sander grey boots at the same sale:

...also for $38 (!!!!) I LOVE these boots. They have the faintest hint of a Western flair--with the pointy, slightly raised toe--but they're quite understated and superstylish. The goring on both sides keeps them snug and comfy on the ankle. I'm super-pleased.
I wasn't pleased at all, however, with the Pierre Hardy tall boots that I had ordered together with these shoes (they were $60 instead of $404). First, the color was different than I thought--dark brown instead of black. Second, and most importantly, they were a pull-on style (no zipper) and very narrow around the calf (I'm guessing, 13 inches or so), something that they forgot to mention on Yoox. I hate it when that happens! Well, back they went.
But I'm still loving my new stylish additions to my shoe closet. Welcome, beauties!
