We got the right house at the right time, I guess.

It's an ecclectic house that has been added to over the years so it 'rambles'. It cracks me up that there are at least 2 interior doors that you would think go into a closet or outside and then 'Oh, look, there's another room'. It's great after 2 other houses & multiple apartments to actually having a house with STORAGE room! And that's not counting that our garage is still full of unpacked boxes that we need to get out for recycling so my hubby can organize tools and workshop items.

I'm definitely thankful for whichever previous owner expanded the bedroom to create the separate Ladies Closet. I don't exactly have a chaise lounge, but it's more than most working class women wind up with.

That's a really great idea about the mailing labels! I wish I could find stock photos of all my shoes so I could do the same.

laureenthemean: Stock photos are tough on older shoes, but you do seem to have camera shots of many of your lovelies. It wouldn't be too tough to get your digital photos on some labels. I like that I can keep the shoes protected without losing track of what I have. It's also nice because it is do much neater for me than any other type of storage.

HERE is an album of some of my shoes. Most of them are stock photos, sorry. Hope you enjoy anyway.

    Galligator,
I'm very envious of your collection.
I love to cook too though, so the kitchen as shoe storage won't work here
