Giuseppe Zanotti’s Strappy Floral Sandals

Posted by galligator in Endless, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, High heels, Hot Shoe Deals and Steals, Sandals, Spot the Shoe on Sale, Zappos, spring 2010 shoes

Rain, rain, go away.

Is anybody else having weird spring weather? Rain one day, clear the next, then right on back to more rain?

This is not the weather one expects when living proximate to an area nicknamed, ‘The Palm Springs of Washington’.

Madame Nature needs to tell Old Man Winter to back off, already. After all, summer starts in less than a week. Most of the flowers I’ve seen are – sadly – attached to fast-growing weeds that have been thriving in this rapidly shifting weather.

So, here are  my consolation flowers for today:

Giuseppi Zanotti E90042 sandals $875 $411 at Zappos.com . . .  for one lucky size-10 foot out there &

$481.22 (size 8 ) at endless.com

Now, message to whoever is in charge of summer, ‘Hi. It’s  mid-way through June, and I’d like my flowers already.  Peep-toe appropriate weather would also be greatly appreciated. -G. ‘

World Cup Sandals

Posted by Shomore in General

For the World Cup, “California Gurl” singer Katy Perry showed that she was rooting for team USA and England (she’s engaged to British comedian Russell Brand) with a dress which was half stars/stripes and half Union Jack.   If you prefer to display your team pride closer to your ’sole’, Havaianas has 17 special edition team flip flops for sale at $24 / pair.    If you follow soccer, which team do you think will win the tournament?

Jessica Alba in Louboutin Fastissima Pumps

Posted by Shomore in Celebrity Shoe Style, Christian Louboutin Shoes

Jessica Alba popped up on the Jimmy Kimmel Show in a Christian Louboutin Fall/Winter 2010 ankle bootie that I adore.  The Louboutin ‘Faastissima’  bootie has a deep cut at the throat which shoelovers will know I’m fond of due to its elongating effect on the legs.   Her Christopher Kane dress pairs well with the dress except I wish there wasn’t that odd cut-out near her chest and abs.  Even though she certainly has the figure for it, I find it distracting and unnecessary.

Christian Louboutin ‘Freddy’ Vs. Dolce Vita ‘Miller’

Posted by galligator in Christian Louboutin Shoes, Dolce Vita, Flats, General, Oxfords, spring 2010 shoes

Let me address a question of extremes.

When is enough, enough? Is there such a thing as too many studs on a shoe?

For me, after seeing the Louboutin uber-studded ‘Freddy’ Oxfords, my answer is, ‘Yes.’

Christian Louboutin ‘Freddy’ studded lace-ups $995 at Saks.com

For a gal who loves statement shoes as much as I do, these still veer just a little bit too much into pokeypine* territory for me. I’d much rather step out in these only-subtle-by-comparison Dolce Vita ‘Miller’ Oxfords.

Dolce Vita ‘Miller’ lace-up flats $130 $90.99 at Saks.com

How about you?

Which design to you prefer?

*My thanks to all of the toddlers I have known for bringing my attention to this awesome word, so much better and more visual than ‘porcupine’, don’t you think?
